I'm a philosophy major and I'm unemployed and training to be an electrician. By all means study some philosophy as an elective, its great for helping you how to rationally analyze, how to structure an argument and how to understand the world and morality; but its not gonna pay the bills.

Unfortunately I'm a study of theology (mainly Christianity), Philosophy, and genetics. Trying to square it all is kind of a nightmare. Sometimes I get frustrated because I KNOW there's something I'm missing, something that ties everything together in a neat little bow, but I won't figure it out till I'm dead, and then I'll get the answer, and it'll be like "Oh, duh".
