What language reforms are even talking about? Changed hyphenation rules for compound words and unified transliteration of foreign words? You're talking out of you ass, spoken language hasn't changed by any "constant" reforms.

Well, actually it is changing for worse with increase usage of english words instead of Ukrainian equivalents. This trend is being pushed as "cool sounding", idk, but appeals to normie cattle. Words like device and event that have 100% equivalents in any language are now prefered by the (media).

>>510971611
Russian lexicon is more different. They clearly can't understand Ukrainian, even Russian speaking Belorussians can barely understand belorussian, a language I can perfectly read having zero experience with it - the lexicon is just that similar to ukr.

Lmao. In reality:
>the ukrainian government broke its own laws by denying education in russian in the donbass and never provided other services in russian
>today, some local donbass governments no longer offer certain state services in ukrainian but will provide a translator and still permit education in ukrainian

Okay, so I'm happy to clear up that Ukraine 100% banned the Russian language in areas with a Russian majority and the Russians have never once passed any kind of language law affecting the Donbass. Glad we talked this out.

Polish is the weirdest sounding language becuase they were effed by a latin alphabet.
When they used to write their alphabet in cyrillic, they had enough letters and sounds for sounds like "sh" "f" "ch" etc.

Now they have to write words in an alphabet that doesn't even translate or transcribe their language well.

They now have:
Kshishtoff Brzhshnevytskshtoff

Because you can't spell even their names, let alone many other words with latin letters.

Yes, correct. Actual Ukrainian is east slavic, like Russian, but with a ton of Polish loanwords. This is because the westernmost poart of Ukraine (IE Lviv/Lvov) was under Polish control for a long time. The locals were basically oppresed by the Pole, who were the ruling class. Austria-Hungary continued this method of local rule until independence in WW1. Ironically, Russia freed it's serfs before Poles in the Austro-Hungarian empire freed their Ukrainian serfs. It was never spoken outside of those territories until the 20th century.

This and also the fact that the author Taras Shevchenko wrote in this dialect and his books are considered the basis of Ukrainian. He wrote them in the late 1800s.

Belorussian is just a sad attempt by pollacks to pretend the occupied Russian clay is non Russian. It's based on the polonized russian dialect called trasyanka. Spelling is non existant in belorrussian, it's phonetic spelling. I would guess hohols are similar, except it's somehow more serious and way more retarded. The red flag that something is wrong with belorussian and ukrainian is that no non folk literature was written in it. Russians had a fad in 19th century to write folk stories in a language that sounded like the peasants spoke, and they had Bazhov writing in "siberian", Shevchenko writing in proto ukrainian, but belorussian writers weren't even that caliber. The older stuff is also clearly understood by the Russian speakers. The current belorussian and ukrainian I have trouble not laughing when I hear it and it's fundamentally different. In a simple example, when I was learning belorussian, home work was "Дaмaшняя paбoтa" now it's "Хaтняя пpaцa". Хaтa is literally a hut and пpaцa is labor. But Belorussian is failing, while hohols went full retards enforcing their mental illness.

t. Belorussian.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, Russian was studied in 29 schools in Ukraine, now this number has been reduced to three, according to the report of the language Ombudsman.
Currently, Russian is taught in only three Ukrainian schools, according to a report by Taras Kremin, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language of Ukraine.

In April 2022, shortly after the outbreak of hostilities, Kremen proposed to consider the possibility of replacing the Russian language in schools with other subjects, for example, the history of Ukraine, the Ukrainian language, English and mathematics. Russian Russian writers, such as Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace" and other works describing the actions of the Russian, Soviet or Russian army, were decided to be excluded from the school curriculum in the summer of the same year. Russian Russian Ministry of Education and Science stated that they consider it right to remove from schools and universities everything related to the Russian Empire, including works showing "the mystical power of Russian weapons" and "the suffering of the Russian soul.
In February 2023, Kremen called for a ban on the use of the Russian language in all universities in Ukraine. "Every university should have the best opportunities for educating truly patriotic, strong—willed, educated citizens of Ukraine," Kremen explained.
