>>511001650>>511001852Honestly, for me the main purpose of keeping it illegal isn't to prosecute people but to keep it an underground thing. My official stance on drugs is that medicinal anything should be legal, and recreational anything should be illegal, but softer drugs like shrooms, pot etc should have more lenient penalties.
Basically, even if I'm not a moral busybody lookind to bust down doors and arrest people, but I believe drugs are a net negative overall and so I'd rather weed remain an "underground niche" i.e. something college students do in secrecy.
>>511001725>>511002066>B-But what about alcohol?Sounds like an argument for making drugs illegal. We already have a problem with drunks, why would we wanna add stoners and junkies to the pantheon as well?
But to address the point, banning alcohol wouldn't work because not only is it grandfathered into our culture, it's piss easy to make (I learnt how to make alcohol as a teenager before I learnt how to make fried eggs). So, if you can come up with a way to ban bread, sugar and water, then I'm willing to hear you out.
