Don't get why Trump cares. Delaying cutting will be better in general. Tariffs will make market bumpy for a few months and he gets to pick a new federal reserve chairman next year. Better to ride out with current interest rates rather than try to force a cut early for the average American but he also doesn't care about the average goyim and just wants what is best for kikes and rich.

Trump's all hot air and bluster, just a paper tiger who can't back any of his shit talk. That's why his enemies keep walking all over him.

This shit will blow over in two weeks because Trump lacks the balls to actually stake any of these vampires, and inevitably, they'll finally get him one day, because he just let all his enemies live and flourish like a moron.

Yes but will be temporary if at all. Any downward movement in stocks will be from market flows and assets shifting around, rebalancing for fixed income, etc.
My worry is that it's happening too late. Even if they lowered it by 200bps today we might still see problems...and they are only talking about 25bps or 50bps by end of the year...just recklessly restrictive... And they do it on purpose to fuck things up for the midterms.

Stocks will explode with a weakening currency anyway. It's already been happening and happened the past 4 years. Revenues are up because the currency is worth less. This has no different effect than lowering rates would as both occurred by printing more currency. Doing nothing would be the smartest move right now with tariffs actually bringing in positive revenue.

It’s game night at the Fed’s house, you keep crying “but according to the rules of bridge!” Bridge was two games ago, we’re playing hearts now.

Continued monetary expansion is all they care about as liquid assets will always inflate faster and more fully than the illiquid asset Labor, this is the mechanism behind oligarchal parasitism.

Pre-GFC monetary expansion was driven by falling rates, effectively a systemic credit kite.
GFC->2019 monetary expansion was driven by QE, Fed however was legally limited to the size of their balance sheet, and when they tried to run it down a wee little bit (as they were approaching their balance sheet limit) the repo market blew-up: Enter Scamdemic.
Corona was used to paper over the Sep ‘19 repo blow-up, remove what little restrictions the Fed had, and to intentionally drive up consumer prices (which is not inflation, inflation is expansion of money stock) to provide justification for long-term high rates.

During the game Systemic Credit Kite yields were jacked-up when unemployment fall “too low” i.e. wagies started demanding their fair share. Jacking rates stressed the credit kite, leading to business failures and forcing the wagie back in the cagie.

But we are no longer playing Systemic Credit Kite, bond yields stress nothing, bonds are always negative real yield, so don’t compete with equities et al for dollars. Going forward bond yield will drive monetary expansion, this is why the Fed is so reluctant to lower rates. The game has changed.

Yeah but being so public about this now just frames it in a retarded manner.

If Powell doesn't go to jail for this then it's just seen as Trump facilitating apparently illegal acts.
If Powell is actually innocent then it's just seen as Trump making up shit to fire him, which is also illegal.

Like somebody else said, he could've just waited until next year and do a new nomination. Don't know why he feels the need to do literally everything right now.
