Their “Han” population was genocided and miscegenated into slavery dozens of times over the centuries. The population is complete pawn npc with no traceable heritage. Latinx are similar.

>how do they keep 1.4 billion people in check?
it depends on the context... what do you mean by keeping in check

if youre talking about gvmnt deciding whatis allowed or legal, or about taxes or social policies... then they are doing it exactly the same way any other country does, individuals may oppose but crowd will follow through and obey, especially if people are scared about being exterminated from society as it happened during red revolution.

if you're asking about totalitarian 24/7 controll over everything their citizens do... they just don't, no one could do that for a 100%

China's foreign policy is far too cowardly for this. They literally stopped exporting revolution when Mao died. Xi et al are all globalists who cant even imagine other countries not wanting win-win cooperation where both sides get rich.

No they werent.
Was the CCP happy about it? Yes, but they never funded anything. Russia maybe, since Putin is an actual chad and actually fights for the interests of his nation, unlike China who only hopes to make money everywhere and wont do shit elsewise.

Much of the history of china is them revolting, overthrowing their government and having a civil war.

The only revolution/civil war you've had in 2 centuries was for the right of rich landowners to buy and import millions of black men.

The majority of them support their government.

Things in China were very, very, very bad before the current government took power. After a rough start (to put it mildly) under Mao, the CCP has managed to provide several decades of peace and relative prosperity.

To add, China being bad at propaganda and not being able or willing to play dirty is noted by Chinese nationalists as well.
They are blasting their own propaganda ministry's childish "look how cool I am" media strategy and have been calling for releasing Epstein client lists and sabotaging and damaging the West for a long time. But the current CCP is far too cowardly for that.

They have problems with some minority groups but in typical chinese fashion they just put everyone in camps until the problem stops, its not that hard to control a country thats 93% han chinese
