Woooow. It's like you *want* to starve to death during WWIII.

I have plenty of mirabelle plum. You can make a moonshine from it. And it grows by itself and all.

Starvation is a very slow and painful death.
Your body screams at you during every waking moment.
You have no energy to do or think anything until your body stops functioning entirely.

Buy some bushes/trees/vines, Anon. It doesn't cost much and it returns huge dividends right when you need them.

Plum wine is highly underrated, in my opinion.

HEY REMEMBER WHEN THE EARTH WAS COVERED IN FRUIT TREES AND THEY WERE CHOPPED DOWN
REMEMBER WHEN SEEDS FROM VEGETABLES AND FRUIT COULD BE PLANTED IN SOIL AND GROW INTO MORE OF THE SAME?
No, you probably don't

I'm on the lookout for a well priced Mount Royal, personally.

The colour is just beautiful and they do well in my climate.

Sometimes you just gotta shell out. Mirabelles are quite hard to find here in burgerstan, they cost me almost $100 each. I did get 5ft+ nicely shaped trees though. Do you grow haskaps? I also planted some this year

Fasting is not the same thing as unwilling starvation. These threads are specifically because I don't wish for any of you to know what that feels like. Even the dickheads like you.

Make sure not to limit yourself to "normal" crops. There are all sorts of rare plants that might grow in your climate.

I mean that's fine long term, but priority wise you should first learn how to fish, hunt and trap.

Doesn't matter what I plant right now, it will be months before I can eat anything, and that's assuming it survives and nothing goes wrong between now and then.

But I can go out and catch fish or shoot deer, goat, pig, roo, rabbit, duck, geese etc and have something to eat in under two hours, and that's assuming i'm not poaching livestock and don't have any of my own to slaughter.

If you live in a semi rural or rural area or go hiking a bunch I would in all seriousness (within the limits of the law, don't go spreading invasive shit like a faggot) start planting tons of native edible berries, fruits and other wild edibles wherever you live in the bush. You don't need to maintain it, the wildlife will enjoy it, and in an absolute worst case scenario it will be there to supplement your calories.

And if shit never goes tits up, well you can still go hiking and enjoy it all the same. I've planted tons of stuff along the trails where I hike and hunt.

Man, once you get one established the squirrels and birds will integrate it into your ecosystem Masanobu Fuluoka-style: "I do not work,I only plant seeds like a bird. Now that I am to old to plant, the birds work for me." My homestead building on the work of other settlers here in Cascadian has hazelnuts, plums, elephant garlic, currants, Saskatoon, apples just sprouting unplanted by man everywhere, with now walnuts, parsnips to cannabis joining the ranks of volunteers

One of the most underrated fruits. I have three of the Canadian varieties planted and one arborea x laevis hybrid. The squirrels are already well acquainted here, fucking tree niggers

Goats are easier to deal with. Small enough you can move 'em around and depending on the breed you get they can be valuable for their meat, milk and fiber.

My city has decided to plant them all along the streets. I fucking love seeing their branches heavy with fruit and squirrels gorging themselves on them.
