I know that after the 2019-2020 Hong Kong Extradition Protests, and after the National Security Law passed in Hong Kong, hundreds of thousands of Hong Kongers emmigrated from Hong Kong to other countries. I just want to know, are there any anons here that are of these people? How is your life now compared to Hong Kong? If given the chance to choose again, would you choose any different and why?

There's a librarian at my local library who came from Hong Kong a couple years ago. I can't tell whether she's young or old but she looks like the doll meme, they always look like that. HK and UK are very similar already and had travelled outside many times before. They weren't really refugees as much as it was about getting the papers they were entitled to fast tracked. Some of them have probably gone back to Hong Kong.

They're not really refugees in the typical sense I guess is my point, Hong Kong is 1st world, maybe better than UK in some ways and it's already so similar unlike wherever the others are coming from, we were the same country a couple decades ago.

By now they will have gotten their passports and moved on, maybe got a job at a company and bought a house or moved to your country. Nobody knows where they are, my anecdote is as good as you'll get probably.
