I was getting $12/hour 12 years ago as an Apprentice Plumber. I'm sure that wages have risen at least to $15-20/hour by now. The work sucked, but there is a good amount of reward that comes out of it. You're building something with your hands, something that is essential for a home or a business to use. I went and got my herbicide license and started my own company.
