What is there to profit from on Autism? There aren't any drugs for it like ADHD or ADD. All you get is a small window between 3-5 where you can do corrective therapy for the high functioning ones and get a mostly normal kid.

There is absolutely a profit motive for autism. It’s way higher and more involved than “typical” mental disorders. Schools get to extra federal dollars for every special ed student. Speech therapy, behavioral therapy, special meals, group therapy, immersion therapy etc. on top of that the private sector gets their fingers in there. Private tutors and therapists multiple times a week all charge insurance. It goes deep and adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars per year per child.
T. Grandma was a lifelong special ed teacher and my cousins are severely autistic.

Autism is under diagnosed in women. Historically it's been a disease for white boys from wealthy families. All of that needs to change. We should have diversity and equality in autism.
