Boomers dominated in culture: music most famously, but also movies and books. Gen X did some good stuff in music in the 90s, but it didn't last as long as the period of boomer creativity did.
Millennials and those coming after them have produced virtually no relevant culture to date.
The book "The Fourth Turning" actually predicted this, arguing that boomers, from a "Prophet Generation," are sort of generationally fated to dominate in culture while being bad at governing and upkeeping society.
The authors of The Fourth Turning also argued that millennials, being of the Civic archetype like the World War II generation, would excel in politics and social organization while having little talent for culture.

Media in the 20th century was only available through centralized sources. The only music people had access to was through the radio and record labels. This led to everybody sharing the same culture. They all got everything from the same sources. There were like 3 record companies behind every hit artist in the past 60 years.
It’s never going to be that way again because the internet exists, and it leads to music culture getting more fragmented, since people can upload and listen to niche content within niche content and so you’re never going to have another Michael Jackson or whatever where one artist becomes a universal cultural phenomenon. This postmodern fragmentation of culture (and society and the economy etc.) is not good for society. We're better off with centralized control. That's the whole point of nationalism. Nation-building means diffusing a common culture, dialect, values, and thinking so as to bind a population together. And I'd say people were happier 50 years ago before all this fragmentation of the nation-state.
Centralized control can be bad in some instances, but it's necessary if we are to accomplish anything collectively.
