Kind of seems like the rampant, decades long drug abuse and age probably contributed more, but I'll give you that the vax was the killing blow if it makes you feel better. I'm shocked he lived so long, thought for sure he'd go out like the lead of Alice in Chains before he hit 50. All those Gen X rock stars did egregious amounts of uppers and downers, just nonstop speedballs, heroin, and coke for months at a time while on tour.
