I did notice that as well, watching travel vlogs and similar videos taking place in the US. Looks like the more of these factors coincide the more prominent are the misshapen. The one advantage Europe has is that corn-based products aren't as ubiquitous (don't they have corn in some baby formulas in the US?); palm oil is still an issue though. Both rural Russia and Ukraine have tons of low-class demoralized people though. I'd imagine this factor is more influential here.
