Is this bad news because it means inflation is rising, or is it good news because fat-fuck Americans should eat less candy anyway? What will be the eventual legacy of Trump's tariffs?

americans are definitely gonna lose weight from not being able to buy as much food. i personally had to cut back on my food consumption since prices went up. and its been documented that during great economic downturns people do lose weight

shut up, you dont anything and i hate when peopl like you provide cover for inflation. its real, open your eyes! and its affecting americans. im on a fixed budget and my car insurance went up. between that and the increase of food, i had to bring down my food budget to 200 and im having to pull money from other small things i spent on. i might have to eat shitty food to get enough calories

It means an 18% price increase rather than a 90% increase. At least for now.

I doubt increase in cocoa price alone could justify 18% price hike, though
