Because there are multiple local stations that won't be able to exist without the funding; twitter represents the entire "brand" as a whole. I listen to NPR sometimes at lunch, and they always just end up talking about how rough life is for niggers, and by any means possible.

They just say whatever to get what they want. It's what the political Left is basically and how communism has always worked. There is no "ideology", just a bunch of lies and dissimulations to manipulate people into giving you power. The reason communism exists at all is because the easiest way to manipulate people into giving you power is to promise them free shit they don't have to work for.

Car Talk is the only worthwhile thing NPR ever did.
They pay Kai Ryssdal half a million dollars a year to talk like a kindergarten teacher for 20 minutes a day.
You could put a few college kids and a couple of audio engineers in a modest office suite and create something that is 90% of what NPR is for almost nothing. They shouldn’t get a dime from taxpayers.
