I'm not opposed to it, it just doesn't work. Tissue engineering is nowhere near good enough yet to replicate the texture of meat.

You can make a mush of pork cells and make a hot dog, but how are you going to compete on price with hot dogs? Hot dogs are dirt cheap as they are the garbage bits of the animal.

The only market for cultured meat at this time is vegans, who would mostly rather eat plants anyway.
