they drive over niggers and nobody could purge the auto driver code from it, the driver AI just simply decides to drive over niggers, without any apperant reason.

Too hard to make it reliable enough for car companies to accept the legal liability. Even though current self-driving tech is already much safer than the average idiot behind the wheel, car companies aren't on the hook for the illegal immigrant plowing through an intersection into a minivan because he's late for his construction job but the tequila hasn't worn off yet.
