>>511131359 (OP)"Renting" a gun isn't a thing, really. You can do it at a range but you have to give it back before you leave the range.
If you can get American citizenship then it ain't hard to find a good quality handgun for between $200-$400 USD depending on where you go and who you know. The availability of said handguns and the legality of carrying them varies state by state. For example, in California and New York there are magazine restrictions, no concealed carry, and you have to submit a waiver to your city to even legally own a handgun.
In states that are less retarded, there is what is known as "constitutional carry" which allows anyone over 18 to open carry, anyone over 21 to conceal carry. If you pass a background check you can go to a gun store, buy a Glock and some ammo, and leave in under an hour.
If this all fails I would ask your relatives for a loaner. The legality is probably dubious but as long as you dont do anything stupid the cops should leave you alone any way.
Also, I wouldn't trust anything less than a 9mm hollowpoint to keep you safe, but anything is better than nothing. Watch out for niggers.
