We're being flooded by QAnon types, again. QAnon created the conspiracy theory that Epstein was running a blackmail ring and wasn't just a sick Hugh Hefner wannabe with an obsession with recording himself. Any time reality does not fit the conspiracy theory, schizos add more names to the conspiracy theory.

We have not seen the end of QAnon's retardation when it comes to Epstein but you can already see at least some Youtubers are looking for the off ramp, because deep down they know there's never going to be a bombshell. I am worried that Memeology 101 is going to turn into a schizo channel because he's blaming Trump for everything regarding the conspiracy theory falling apart now, but others are just talking about it less and less. All of QAnon's theories, whether it's around an election or Epstein, involve there being some bombshell information dump that's going to get out "any day now."

Nobody at the DOJ or the FBI ever said there Epstein was running a blackmail operation or that he was in the business of brokering and selling sex slaves to "the elites." I am as guilty as anyone for falling for the "Epstein didn't kill himself" meme, but now I have serious doubt. If a wannabe Hugh Hefner type who was living it up on an island with a harem of underage girls knew he was going to spend the rest of his life doing hard time in prison with no leverage or bargaining chips to get out early, what would he have to live for? I'm not saying there definitely wasn't someone out there who wanted him dead (we know that Prince Andrew was involved with some misconduct on his island, but he already had his day in court and it was civil court, not criminal), but extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, and it's the latter that QAnon fails to deliver on time after time after time, and yet their little bubble still continues to exist and have influence over right-wing discussion circles no matter how many times they get discredited.

This is why you don't make the schizo conspiracy theorists an essential part of getting elected, they are always a long-term liability. In any case, Trump's overall approval rating is actually up several points from when the DOJ dismissed most of the conspiracy theories regarding Epstein, so I don't think he has much to lose by distancing himself from it. I'm sure more of the Epstein case will be released pending further review since there are many victims whose names need to be protected, but I've already accepted that there is no "bombshell" being hidden away after finding out that it all started with QAnon. The truth is usually a lot more boring than conspiracy theorists hype it up to be.

Trump needs to focus on deportations, border security, wage growth, and improving trade. Those are the issues he was actually elected on, not validating people's conspiracy theories (although releasing more documents regarding things like the JFK assassination and the Epstein case is good for transparency and retaining the public's trust). The best thing he can do right now regarding the Epstein blackmail conspiracy theory is ignore it because a fire can't keep going without air and fuel. Without any actual news to report, Youtubers can't keep making videos about the same talking points over and over again or they will lose their audience.

Maxwell got arrested because the FBI and DOJ had proof that she collaborated with Epstein to purchase girls for his harem. Buying people and telling them they can't leave your property is human trafficking which is why Maxwell was found guilty of trafficking, the case didn't say anything about her and Epstein buying girls for clients, which is the claim created by QAnon. QAnon never had any unique evidence or proof of additional crimes committed by the pair that did not come from public material released by the DOJ or FBI. They were all speculating wildly about "bombshells" that were in the files that would connect it with their larger conspiracy theory about the world being controlled by satanic pedophiles. There are people in QAnon who claim to have insider information but it's just boomers trolling each other, possibly with some outside trolls mixed in. Unsourced infographics are not evidence, tweets are not evidence, mysterious forum posts are not evidence, etc. We're already at the point where there are numerous conspiracy theories that depend on the assumption that the original conspiracy theory of Epstein running a blackmail operation is true, and some people will unfortunately find it easier to believe that literally everyone is gaslighting them than to believe that all of those conspiracy theories are wrong.
