Anyone else recently get into anti tourism? I looked into what they were saying in places like Mallorca, Venice, and Japan and I kind of agree with them. Plus you have awful shit like sex tourism and begpackers. I personally believe the only acceptable tourism is in places explicitly designed for it and that everywhere else people shouldn't go to at all. We have pictures. We have videos. Don't go on vacation to someone else's home. It's a home, not your zoo to enjoy

I agree. It feels like traveling has become something you must regularly do if you want to be happy, similar to how college was heavily pushed. Having a once in a lifetime trip may be beneficial but chronic travellers seem to only want to make thier life appear interesting on social media.

Seeing the shit Johnny Somali and undoubtedly other streamers pulled, I don't blame them. Sad that despite Tokyo being the largest city in the world, tourists are still able to be an outsized nuisance. I'm going to Copenhagen and Guangzhou later this year and am hoping that Americans will have a slightly less bad reputation there.
