Well, the left has a general direction and set objectives. The right doesn't. Fascists, reactionaries, monarchists, Nazis, libertarians, etc are all "right" of the left, but differ vastly in their ideas. Essentially, the right is everything the left isn't. So there is a good chance the "far-right" guy is only "far-right" from the perspective of the lefty.
