The basic story seems to be he had a psycho crush in one of the girls. I don’t remember which one it doesn’t matter. He was stalking her and had progressed to the point where he was letting himself into their house during late-night parties. No one noticed because it was that kind of house. He finally decided “today is the day” and went to kill her. As is often the case, things did not go as planned. He ended up killing three extra people based on mostly bad luck.
