>>511162177>Epstein's NPA is sealed. No one knows why he was given one, considering the seriousness of his crimes. Itโs also worth noting that his second arrest in 2019 was for the crimes covered under that NPA. The justification was that a federal NPA in one district isnโt recognized by a different federal district, in this case Florida and NY respectively. There was also the fact that a higher court later declared that Florida's NPA was against the law, because you have to give victims full information before allowing a NPA (at the time).
That law has since been removed, but at the time the victims needed to know so they could go to the press or sue the government if desired, but Florida decided to keep it as hush hush as possible.
>>511162585You can get one for literally any reason the government wants to give you one.
There were leaks that said Epstein was in contact with the FBI shortly before and continually after the NPA, but how/what/why is all in the air.
Also uniquely to Epstein's NPA, as the other Anon said, usually it's for people who drop a dime on other worse criminals.
Epstein's said he and all of his associates cannot be charged with the crimes associated with the crimes in the (still to this day sealed) indictment against him back then.
Which is why Maxwell argues that she shouldn't have been prosecuted in the first place because that Florida NPA applied to her.
Why an NPA would say "also we're not going after anyone connected to you" is a mystery.
