It's a simple math problem

In a risky world, a man must remain calm and act rationally or else die unexpectedly. This often requires the child to leave the parents, it happens often in nature.

But this is gay human society. We made it sage and faggoty.

In a safe world the decisions are a little different.

1- maximize his own chances of having children
2- maximize his family's chances of having children

Which is often done most effectively by staying home and inheriting the family's wealth+wisdom+business.

This is why the prodigal son was welcomed home and given his simp supporting brother's inheritance. The simp brother thought he was working to improve his odds of genetic success but really he was improving his brother's. The father, who doesn't care which brother has kids will happily give it to the prodigal. The father is right to view simp son as fufilling role 2 instead of role 1 as simp son envisioned.
