my experience of UK prison is that all the sex going on is pretty much consensual and while it is against the rules, they also hand out "sex packs" at the meds hatch which include condoms and lube and PREP is available. Being gay in there is somewhat rare, out of a hundred prisoners less than five are fruity and no one is openly gay, but on any given wing you know there's something probably going on, loads of guys joke about it because it's a meme, but fuck knows.
I did see an obviously gay (lisping) young guy get persuaded into being pimped by this gang of other you guys and there were rumours on another wing of a guy who was available to give you head for 4 boxes of vapes (the prison currency over here) £12 in the canteen, but that shit is rare and gets shut down quickly by the guards.
