>As my readers know well, rural America is the stronghold of Republican voters, the people who are currently ripping our country to shreds. I wanted to go there to see these people first hand, and the kinds of places where people live in opposition to American values. What I saw may shock you!
>In the first place, so many of the small towns are so dingy and filthy. In these towns you will see many abandoned buildings just rotting away. If you ever want to pass out from stench and disgust, visit a gas station restroom in rural Alabama sometime.1 Many small town residents leave broken down cars on their property and their dogs free to run around their backyards and shit everywhere. The fact that I saw so many dogs left out in extreme weather conditions makes me think that rural Americans are all such cruel people.
>You may also be shocked to find out that public transportation does not exist. The fixation on cars makes rural America such a dangerous, unsafe place. People get into car accidents on rural roads and can’t get assistance because people live so far away from each other (can you even imagine?). Few seem to walk or bike anywhere, which might account for the fearsome levels of obesity that I witnessed. These waddling tubs of lard could benefit from our healthier urban lifestyle. Don’t just take my word for it, data shows that rural American are SIX TIMES more likely to be obese that city dwellers.
>It may also shock you to see the numbers of people who die from guns, which these irresponsible people allow to be carried around willy-nilly! They practically worship their guns, building literal monuments to the Second Amendment in places where rates of gun death are higher than in the cities they are so scared of.
