have you guys ever thought about how the "liberal and conservative" dichotomy makes zero fucking sense? if you read the definition of each one it makes no sense that these concepts even exist or have any basis in reality or real world importance. and yet the overwhelming majority of people will identify as either liberal or conservative, which are completely false concepts with no effect or basis in reality, concepts only the mentally ill could come up with.

If there are four stages of consciousness or cognitive development or morality, then the two parties arguing are in favor of either the 1st or 2nd stage. Both are bad if put on a pedestal. Both limit development.

Liberal vs Conservative was the dichotomy of the XIX Century, before the liberal order was established.
Now we live in the liberal order. Saying you are liberal means you are in favor of maintaining the current order, which makes you a conservative. Saying you are conservative means you wish to maintain the current order, which is a liberal one, making you a liberal.
This is why most of the world doesn't use these categories anymore, at least not as opposite to each other.
