Yes, but a lot of the studies have serious flaws. Like some of the ones claiming Ashkenazi Jews are smarter. One of them only had like 48 participants of 13 year olds from 1 school or something stupid like that. Epigenetics while not a wholly new field in genetics, is highly neglected. With regards to the mtDNA or SNP having any significant influence on your genotype, specifically with intelligence, I haven't seen anything convincing. The fact is, even with us being able to reference the genome for our studies when we feel like, geneticists are still biology nerds who are stuck looking at everything through a qualitative mindset rather than attempting to account for more outside variables due their mediocre quantification skills. And most studies I see regarding "intelligence" are from psychologists and behavioral biologists. I rarely see anthropologists, sociologists, or mathematicians there. Too biased for my taste. And I doubt anyone would grant fund that.
