Euromaidan led straight to the situation in Ukraine today. Knowing what they know now, would they still have done it? Or was it a mistake? Would they have said, "One million Ukrainians will die because of what we are doing today, and that is fine"? Or if they had known what the result of their actions on that day would be, would they have gone home and been glad for what they had, instead of trying for more and getting what they got?

>Euromaidan
>Let's join NAFO
Nobody opposed them joining the EU in 2013.
EU was on the table until recently. Russians didn't oppose Ukraine joining the EU until the EU became too bellicose this year. Russians oppose and will continue to oppose Ukraine joining NATO even if they reach to the Nipru river.
A small chunk of Ukraine that never belonged to Russians may be able to join NATO by dissolution and joining the NATO countries to whom those lands belonged.
Also Moldova is one step in EU so they'll call that a win too. As for NATO, they won't get in too soon, they'll have to buy some equipment. Most of their more modern equipment is donation from Romania.

Ukrainian Neon Nazis are so cute and wholesome that they joined the Russians in the war against Rep Moldova and Romania in the early 90's.
They always drooled over Basarabia (rep Moldova) because it was part of the Pale of Settlement.

you guys still dont understand that "euromaidan" happened because...
oil discovery in 2011
energy talks between eu-ukr and russia-ukr in 2013
leader discovers that eu plan necessitates ukies energy costs go way way up
Ukie leader goes with Russia's offer
commence NATO Regime Change
magically the new people installed believe exactly the opposite of the old legitimately elected people

Yes. Ukraine was way more free and overall better before 2014. And no, it wasn't a Russian puppet. It was neutral. But it was difficult to remain one, when you have such geololitical confrontations. When global hegemon is pumping your country with subverting NGOs. The infamous USAID was very involved before maidan event. Nuland openly bragged about billions invested to make it all happen.
You would need a very strong leader and monolithic society to resist this. Ukraine had no such thing.

no way
mob rule usually works out just fine
that's how we can do it
whoever can get the biggest crowd to DC should be able to oust the president and install their guy.

Perhaps it's a different situation when the people who overthrow the government are not the same people who have to fight the war that follows, different largely in the amount of wealth they have and whether they are urban or rural.
