Legally, you're just wrong. Ethnic cleansing and genocide are 2 different crimes.
For example, many European peoples were ethnically cleansed after WW2.
They weren't killed, they were forced to leave the places they lived at and transferred to other areas due to changing borders and other reasons, especially german people. What Trump proposed about sending all the Palestinians to Egypt would be ethnic cleansing, even if no Palestinian died in that process.
This is totally different from genocide.

Not really. International courts and bodies of law are pretty unconclusive and no one has really taken a strong stance on it. It just hasn't been legally recognized as genocide, not even the ICJ recognized it as so, they said that some of Israel's behaviors could lead to genocide, but they didn't classify it as such, at least not currently.
