I'm in Poland right now and I've been tipping zero Dollars and zero Cents at the restaurants. Nobody attacked me verbally or physically for it. What gives?

I used to work at a corpo thing (it wasn't food but retail and service adjacent). It wasn't every time but I had to refuse taking them from time to time, sometimes people literally tried to put them in my pockets like they were my grandma giving me money on the sly to hide from my parents.
Why did I do that? There were cameras fucking everywhere and a coworker got fired for taking a tip - he was spotted by the guys the company hired to watch us on cameras.
Quit the job after doing the time I had in contract, refused extension and never looked back. This kind of American corporate bullshit kills your soul, especially in a country where most people don't realize it can be that bad.
