The tl;dr is that Trump sued CBS/60 Minutes. The FCC simultaneously decided to endlessly delay a merger that was all clear prior to the lawsuit. Part of this led to more SP episodes getting banned for antisemitic jokes, and SP getting indefinitely delayed.
This is presumably why Kyle is noticeably absent from any lines in this episode and Cartman makes one reference to everyone hating Jews now, to setup for a future episode, but I digress.
CBS/Paramount agreed to a settlement that included loads of PSAs for Trump. Miraculously right after this the FCC stopped blocking the merger. SP got a ridiculously good contract signed and then rerecorded and changed the ending to this episode within the last few days.
