You get what you pay for. Every cent of tax money in Europe is put towards the world's best university systems, public healthcare systems, and public transportation systems. Pensions are also generous. Nobody ever sees a return on their tax money in the US. It is funneled to the military and to Israel with only a fraction going into legitimate public services.

Also the only people who complain about taxes in Europe are the middle class. If you're not a member of the bourgeoisie, there is no reason to complain about massive wealth transfers from the elite to your pocket.
