The correct way to protest the OSA would be for high volume tech platforms to ban all access for UK IPs. Imagine if Elon shuts down X for Brits, our entire journalist and political class would shit their pants since that's all they do. Similar for Whatsapp and Signal which I believe have disliked this bill since it was created. Doing this overnight would just destroy the UK ruling class's ability to coordinate.

The net effect of this bill is to absolutely shred whatever bread and circuses UK citizens had left to distract them and keep them de-politicised.

It's already through. It received Royal Asset.

His Majesty is a traitor to native brits. And I say that as a non-white sand nigger.

I am truly enraged by his complete lack of interference in this particular bill. This is seriously something he should have stepped into.

Actually, now that I think about it, I wonder if they made that show about him interfering in a bill about free speech on purpose to make him not step in.

Lots of things can be law and not be enforced because they are scared of pushback, or only want to enforce things selectively for political reasons. We are reaching the stage where OFCOM is going to attempt to enforce OSA onto websites. If they get such a coordinated pushback that Britain becomes digital North Korea overnight, they may be forced to rethink how feasible the bill is. It's a fight like anything else.

It is enforced.

I've worked in the tech industry.

I tried accessing Discord servers but I can't without an ID verification.

It costs these companies anywhere from $0.20 - $1.50 per ID verification depending on how detailed it is (ID, Live facial recognition etc.).

This is going to push tonnes of tech companies out of the UK because it won't make sense to offer services to British customers are the costs will be greater than the revenue.

This will kill tonnes of UK startups and they'll move abroad to the USA.

Whatsapp wrote this piece against the law back in 2023: https://blog.whatsapp.com/an-open-letter

They are completely against it, and the UK political class is 100% dependent on Whatsapp for coordination. Same with Twitter/X.

If we can get X + Whatsapp to block all UK IPs from tomorrow in protest of OSA it will create a crisis and nobody will want to enforce it.

I personally am never blackpill. Everyone hates these cunts, which is not a good long-term position to be in. Their hubris and personal obnoxiousness takes them so far, then it fucks up, again. You've got it wrong anon, Abbott is the smartest person in the room at all times. She only pretends to be dumb to fool people into dropping their guard around her. She will be the next prime minister.
Appear retarded when you are spectacular.

Aye, great idea. Take the internet off one of the most politically charged generations ever. The kids will string the current administration up by their own entrails in front of parliment.

Need a connected guy to get on the horn to Elon and the Whatsapp CEO.
Who remembers when we had "Shami Chakrabati" in the UK who headed "Liberty" an org to fight for civil liberties in the UK? Whatever happened to all that?

Poltards can't make up their mind about porn censorship, how ironic.

When Russia was banning porn websites, they were cheering.

Now that they're offered a taste of their own medicine, they're backing out.

if the gov was just arbitrarily shutting down porn sites I honestly wouldn't care. the UK law is far more about pushing new technology onto citizens to de-anonymise them and make it normal for websites to scan your face so that Tony Blair's friends can make a shitload of money from implementing the technology for it and holding contracts. they're just creating a problem so they can sell the market solution.

How did Dianne Abbott's get so far in government in the first place? I mean she's both thick and ugly, and there's a host of far better black woman they could have chosen if they needed a token nig chick.
