It seems like a combination of reasons, there was Christian zionism entrenched within Christianity, meaning that many protestants in the Anglosphere admired jews. That's not to say there wasn't also jew worship within Catholicism, but it seemed much weaker until Vatican II.
Then there's the fact that anglos could look around and see that Ashkenazi jews were successful, and rather than trying to compete they felt sort of compunction to "join the winning team." They felt jews in terms of evolution, competition, eugenics, etc were superior and deserved to win.
But I truly think the main reason is that Anglos converted to a globalist ideology, or to a cosmopolitan/universalist religion of altruism where they tried to treat everyone on Earth equally. That means they gave up their ethnic prejudice and solidarity and replaced it with "universal love" believing they were supposed to be upliftring and helping the entire world.
Jews saw this as naive retardation and immediately moved in to replace the vacuum the Anglos left by forfeiting their roles as leaders on the world stage. Instead of fighting for dominance, Anglos meekly stepped down so that "others" could take over. While Anglos believed this would mean world governed by "all people", a coalition of brown, asian, White, etc people, the jews' position of prominence in the west just meant they automatically took over without much of a fight.
So it was an act by an incredibly naive generation, who had inherited the world from their intelligent and ethnocentric Anglo ancestors, and then gave it away in the name of equality. They may have thought they were giving the world away to "all mankind" but really it was just bequeathed to jews.
I'll give examples of the three types of Anglo Saxon figures
Christian Zionist = Lord Balfour, Harry S Truman, LBJ, Billy Graham, Jerry Fallwell
irreligious Jew worshipper = Mark Twain
Universalist = Woodrow Wilson, Betrand Russel, John Rawls,

The question is "why?" and I believe it's because some elite Anglos, prompted by jews, thought they were creating a sort of universalist cosmopolitan deracinated utopia on Earth and the first step to doing that meant breaking up all Anglo-American and White racial identity.
The person who invented the term racism was in fact not Leon Trotsky the Ukrainian jew, but was actually an Anglo-American.
