Religious people crucified God for being unable to identify him because they thought they were justified following a perfect law, when their religion makes it impossible for them to understand that trying to merit perfection when the problem boils down to their very thinking making them unable to accept what God is willing to do for them for free.

The Gospel of the cross is condemning mankind's religious nature. Thats why the early church was hated by virtually everyone, mean while hell preaching/dick snipping/coin clipping kikes were tolerated by rome.
This basically implies that christianity is a universally applicable faith, not a religion in the sense that its asking you to do shit to justify yourself. All the religions regardless of their cultural background and race tied to them are all trying to justify themselves, and its heavily implied at this point that Christianity is the only "self aware" belief system assessing the situation correctly.
99% of the time when you look at religious people, its people acting out of guilt for knowing they aren't justified, but fail to understand that attempting to become God (following a perfect law) when you already sinned is impossible.

Satan is using religion to gatekeep the truth and slander God. If you simply take the cross and what jesus did to mean you're going to heaven, you've been rescued from Satan's illusory system. It's always been believer V religion. Atheism is just another flavor of religion.
