False Christianity is not dying out. Is it increasing and it is called the emerging church. It’s silly to discuss Christianity without acknowledging that there is a body of faith that truely does or at least desires to serve the Lord faithfully. Then there are the “church”, whom clearly have got something else in mind. And it is the church that is supposed to judge. Sitting about witlessly talking about it when you haven’t participated in or been involved in the growth or outreach of a church is a waste of time. Very few people actually live out the mission of the church and create the community that was intended. The Bible is relevant today as it was a hundred years ago and plenty of pastors are well aware that the church needs the kind of theological testing that Paul did in the early church, even sending in plants to see if they would think they were Jewish and try to circumcise them.

Not familiar with that, but I suppose I should explain why I’m asking for specificity. The book suggests that merely believing the gospel is all you had to do to be saved. Works have nothing to do with it because you can’t justify yourself to a perfect being using a law that demands perfection, which is sort of the reason why Jesus went the cross to begin with.
