those at the top of society represent the best of humanity. It doesn't matter if they fit your ideas of strength or not, being at the top proves they are stronger than you. It's time for us to stop being resentful toward our betters and learn to take pride in them instead. Who would you rather have representing humanity if earth were suddenly put before a council of alien judges to prove our worth as a species? A bunch of weak copers who simply look at the way things are and try to come up with excuses to justify being at the mercy of their situation? Or would you rather be represented by people who you don't perfectly agree with but who are undeniably in control of their fates as well as yours? This could be the difference between being destroyed or being accepted by a species superior to ours. At the very least, the minimum you could do to justify your dignity and worth as a human being is seek to learn from and emulate your betters, and view them in higher regard. They deserve it. Society as a whole would be better off if poor people dropped their crab mentality and ego and started aiming to improve themselves. Being poor isn't a bank statement, it's a mindset.
