I was making a joke that jeets are already a pathogen. You wouldn't need a bacteriophage IRL, an ordinary virus would do. But another pathogen would be better.

Jeets have natural resistences to bacteria due to being literal filth. Bacteria and fungi have an inverse relationship.
Anti-bacterials run the risk of causing fungal infections and vise-versa.

A fungal-based pathogen would likely reek havoc in jeetland. We already saw it with Covid. Jeets were so bacteria-resistant that when they dosed the jeets with Covid up with anti-biotics, it created such a hostile enviroment for bacteria that fungi began to thrive, and we saw fungal pathogens ravage many of the hospitalised jeets.

In short; highly curated fungal-based pathogen = TJD
