Last time I checked, there were massive layoffs, no one could get hired, tariffs were fucking shit up, prices were out of control, supply chains were fucked up, and you would read about business that were struggling to find clients.

It was supposed to crash during Biden but they "delayed" it for Trump.
Now, although he begs for Powell to lower rates, Trump hasn't done shit other than maybe confuse everyone and cause chaos.

In spite of all that, this summer I'm getting weird vibes from people who are acting like this is the best time to be alive and somehow all of our society's problems just never actually happened.
9/11 didn't happen. 2008 didn't happen. Gamergate didn't happen. There are no H1B Jeets.
See, STEM grads are getting hired. People are buying houses. Men are dating women, there is no dating crisis, the virginity problem is over. People are marrying. 401k's are thriving. People are making money, planning for the future.

What is this shit? How did everything going to shit just suddenly disappear?

No one knows when that happens.
There are indicators that it is 'soon' (interest on the US debt, and the debt crises in other nations like Japan, general extreme personal and business debt, small bank failures), but 'soon' merely means that today we're closer to collapse than we were yesterday.

Also, don't forget that the line can continue to go up in a crash. Inflation could push the DJIA to $100k easily as the dollar is devalued into nothing.
