IQ has a well-known sampling bias. IQ tests (real, clinical ones, not faceberg ones) are typically administered for two reasons: a child shows uncommonly intelligent/impaired tendencies OR someone is being adjudicated as part of some kind of court order or legal proceeding. Thus, the IQ curve actually appears bathtub shaped, lots of very smart and very stupid people but the majority of folks who aren't geniuses but don't get in serious trouble with the State don't have much reason for a real IQ test.

A simple understanding of what IQ represents and what that number actually means will tell you that this isn't true. IQ is weighted for age, with it being easier to get a higher score at a younger age.
