It’s an absolute waste of time. Not only are the homeless permanently ungrateful, food is literally the easiest resource for them to find. It’s so easy to find that they’ll turn down your food in lieu of money or cigarettes or booze or dope. Not only does everyone feed them already, they are even allowed to take food from stores or restaurants unless they get way too greedy because they’re trying to resell it and try to boost something like shrimp or lobsters or steak. This is just some noblesse oblige bullshit. Not only did I stupidly volunteer when I was younger which was a huge eye opener, it showed me just how callous and opportunistic these people are towards literally everyone around them, but I’ve also bought food for them before just to have them try to resell it right in front of me. The normal people who end up in some predicament are taken care of quick, just so they don’t get caught up in that life and are still good members of society, the other homeless just see everyone as a sucker because they don’t get to hang out all day and do drugs, they love getting involved in homeless politics and drag everyone down with them.
