Anyone who has actually done one of these jobs can tell you that you learn 95% of what you need on the job, and the so-called "skills shortage" is a mixture of entitled employers demanding perfect candidates who possess a laundry list of (mostly unnecessary) credentials + foreigners being more willing / able to either jump through these arbitrary hoops or lie on their resumes about them
