Most of us don't have that concern, full US citizenships, I memorize all of my personally identifiable numbers, social, DL, etc.

I stay under the radar and have strong community roots. Maybe if it was Kamala and timmy rounding up whites for FEMA camps but I feel saver than ever seeing mystery meat get deported

The short answer:

Long answer: for someone working in a vaguely "law enforcement" capacity doing mostly soft-target detainment, the small amount of added protection from a ballistics-rated helmet isn't worth the effort. It weights a lot and is bulky, which sucks to wear on your head for extended periods (especially in the heat) and slows down head movements. It also doesn't protect you from much more than impact concussions and shrapnel, and is easily worked around by an ancient CQC tactic known as "aim for the face". Ot also doesn't look good to the public. They get up in arms about this stuff. Can't have that.
