Nah. Sometimes the weather is just lovely, and the temperature is perfect. I have slept in my tent in the backyard whenever that happens. Is it weird to just stand outside on your porch drinking coffee? This is just an extension of that.

That's nothing. I knew a guy in college who paid three months rent in advance, quit his job, and lived on the roof. Not a flat roof, mind you, buy like a 6/12 pitch. all he had was a mattress and a tarp. he would order pizza and booze and just sit on the roof all day every day. he would get drunk and yell shit at people walking on the sidewalk. he refused to come down until his money ran out. idk what happened to him
