The manufacturers thought the French would easily eat insects. They were badly mistaken.

The industry is collapsing: too expensive, not profitable, no public appetite.
Result: millions of euros lost, factories shut down.
The dream of crickets on our plates is turning into a fiasco. (Le Parisien)

insects have trehalose which is good for you , inhibits aging, jumpstarts macrophages, fights hiv covid and artherosclerosis and aortic calcification.

unfortunately humans metabolize it to trehalase in the small intestine so its worthless to eat it or drink it.

so you need to inject trehalose or put the bugs in your large intestine for max effect.

Not bugs, THOUGH

>“Insect-based food producers assumed that enough consumers would convert easily,” explains Corentin Biteau, president of the French National Observatory of Insect Farming (Onei) and co-author of the study.
“On paper, the venture was incredibly promising. But the players in this brand-new industry were naive, particularly regarding the acceptability of eating insects. Because even in powdered form or mixed into familiar foods, they elicit strong rejection, mainly due to disgust.”

>Sociologist Sophie Thiron, a food culture expert, agrees: “Even with marketing efforts to associate them with popular snack products—offering little crickets shaped like peanuts to hide their clawed legs—insects don’t belong to the ‘edible’ category in French culture. The symbolic power remains strong. Even when the insect form is completely removed in a flour, the mental association is still made, and people tend to reject putting into their bodies something that usually repulses them.”

Oh no!! What happened? I thought the Bugz™ and Pods™ were part of the super duper Goyim enslavement scheme. I didn't realize they were just industrial grade retards that really misjudged the market.
