Something I have noticed about third worlders and poors is that they always just let their homes and gardens rot. They don't maintain what they have.

Paint is cheap and affordable, and all these poor people can absolutely afford paint and rollers and fix things in their homes. They don't need to have cracked moldy concrete walls. They put literally no effort into improving their living spaces, the facades or gardens. And that is the main visual difference when you look at first world places and third world places/poor areas.

Its not about money, its just about attitude and having low standards. In first world countries, most people do renovations themselves, they fix things around the house, maintain their homes and keep things nice. For complicated and difficult stuff professionals are hired of course, but there is no excuses for having moldy green cracked concrete walls and dirt everywhere in your home. I think the main issue is that third world countries and poors have a lack of real men and fathers, and the women/moms have given up and just do the bare minimum.

Reminds me of visiting family in Mexico if I'm being honest. My abuelita was blind and lame until the day she died because everyone was too poor to pay for proper medical care when she broke her leg or surgery when she developed cataracts. I seriously contemplated paying the few thousand for cataract surgery, but my mom talked me out of it because I wasn't gonna be there long enough to see her actually get the surgery, and my uncles/aunts would convince her to lie over the phone by guilt tripping her into believing they needed the money more for her upkeep. Poverty is an ugly thing.
