Rice, lentils, garlic powder, salt, sugar,
paprika, turmeric, and vumin.
Maybe you could get all that for $3
Might have to save up for the turmeric

That and flour.
And cabbage, carrots, onions, and garlic
all fresh when you can.

Now you are set my friend.
The seasonings takes practice so does the cooking
i use an electric skillet with a lid for all of it

Also get some olive oil

Make bread sticks, sweet bread,
And lentils, rice, cabbage, and carrots mixed with those seasonings.
Also 5 burritos for the week 1 burrito per rice and lentils meal
Lightly but well seasoned.
Turmeric is medicine and the others probably are too.

the smallest things are going to make or break your entire meal
The cook time, amount of water, spices.
Those are the hard things to get but once
you get better it will become amazing
You won't be able to buy food that tastes as good

Loaf of bread is still $1 at walmart. Just eat the whole thing, its nice. You could get bunch of bananas most of the time for less than 3, or like 2 potatoes.
If you are willing to cook the food from scratch ingredients food still is pretty cheap. Flour and salt are cheap and you can rebreed the yeast so it is like a one time cost.
Also you could get into buckwheat like that polish guy

If you want to be an unhealthy slob, you can buy frozen meals at walmart for about $3, or prepared slop at some gas station.

Otherwise, cooking meals yourself, most of them should cost you about $5/meal for balanced healthy meals if you're planning them correctly.
If you want, you can go cheaper and get down to around $3, but protein will be more difficult.

Rice or noodles = practically free base.
Frozen veggies = extremely cheap flavor + fiber and some vitamins
For cheap protein = black beans, lima beans, eggs, tuna

Mix the above together in different combos. Add cheese or spices if you needed it. Only exception is tuna. Tuna tastes weird if you mix it in hot rice or noodles. You want to eat that on a sandwich, or make tuna salad with it.
