I have an ex who developed adult onset schizophrenia and she has gang stalking delusions too. They're pretty much a archetypal symptom of schizophrenia, but it's absolutely impossible to reason with schizos. I've tried to get her to seek help, but she's only interested in validation of her delusions, so any suggestion that the voices she hears constantly are coming from her own brain rather than a CIA microchip sends her into a rage and she immediately hangs up the phone. It's sad but she was also a massive cunt when we dated and in life generally, so there's a karma element to it as well. It's almost if her own super-ego has detached from her consciousness and criticizes her for being a terrible shit person. The voices she hears are always making moral criticisms of her, so it really does seem like that.
