The Australian law does nothing like this, in fact the Australian law would probably be killed by the high court if it was challenged by YouTube as Australians have an implied right to political communication under the constitution. This implied right extends to all Australian no matter the age as they all have a right to see and hear political discourse and, the big one for YouTube, partake in said discourse. By denying under 16 year olds access to comments and subscriptions the government is infringing on their constitutional rights.
