And when I figured out what social media was and how it disrespected their users a couple of years later I deleted it. Never had a social media account again. So that would be 14 years ago
As for other people who do post their mug on social media, they chose to do that their. That doesn't mean they want every transaction or internet activity directly tied to them. You should be free to chose that. The "big deal" is this is being used for tyranny. We know how the government want to jail people for merely saying the wrong thing, or how they want to impose other tyrannical laws even on what you consume or see or do. making it a requirement to show your face to use the internet is a tool they will utilise to control society, and not for the better
